This year's Boston marathon runner-up, Gabriel Geay (TAN) and third place finisher, Benson Kipruto (KEN), will be racing 2023 B.A.A 10km on Sunday, June 25.
Both are decorated in marathon.
Geay holds Tanzanian national record in 2:03:00, the eighth fastest in all time list. Whereas Benson Kipruto is twice Major Marathon winner, having won 2021 Boston marathon and 2022 Chicago marathon.
However, 10km on Sunday will be a different ball game. Geay seems to have the upper hand with his personal best of 27:58. Kipruto will be making his maiden appearance in the10km.

The duo is not favorite for Sunday race.
Geoffrey Koech (KEN) is the fastest on the paper with a personal best of 27:02. So to Tsegay Kidanu (ETH) with lifetime best of 27:14
Kenya's Hellen Obiri will headline Women's field. Her compatriot, Sheila Chepkurui is the fastest in the line-up with a personal best of 29:46.
